I authorize Sheedy Paving, Inc. to contact any company or individual it deems appropriate to investigate my employment history, character, and qualifications. I hereby waive my rights to bring any cause of action against these individuals for defamation, invasion of privacy, or any other claim arising from their statements.
I understand that completion of this application, or any part of the employment process, does not establish any obligation for the company to hire me.
I understand that a consumer credit report, driver’s abstract, drug test, and criminal background check may be required prior to employment. If such reports are required, the company will provide written notice in compliance with federal law and obtain my separate written authorization. I understand that a conviction will not automatically result in disqualification from employment. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
If employed, I agree to abide by all rules and regulations of Sheedy Paving, Inc. I understand that drug and alcohol testing, when administered pursuant to company policy, is a condition of employment, and refusal to submit to such testing may result in immediate termination.
I further understand that no representative of Sheedy Paving, Inc. is authorized to enter into any written or verbal employment contract with me for a definite period of time. I understand that employment is at-will and may be terminated by either myself or Sheedy Paving, Inc. at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notice.
I understand that if I have not been contacted within ninety (90) days from the date below, and I still wish to be considered for employment, I must submit a new application.
